【摘要】:ThistestmethodcanbeusedtoobtainthetensileforcecapacityandultimatetensilestrainofFRPmaterialusedforthestrengtheningofotherstructuralmaterialssuchas,metals,timber,andreinforcedconcrete.TheprincipaltestvariablescouldbetheFRPconstituentsandfabricationmethodorthesizeortypeofFRPlaminate.Theobtainedtensilepropertiescanbeusedformaterialspecifications,qualitycontrolandassurance,structuraldesignandanalysis,andresearchanddevelopment.ThistestmethodfocusesontheFRPmaterialitself,irrespectiveofthegrippingmethod.Therefore,maximumforceandstraindataassociatedwithfailureorpulloutateithergriparedisregarded.Theforcecapacityandmaximumstrainmeasurementsarebasedsolelyontestspecimensthatfailinthegaugesection.1.1Thistestmethoddescribestherequirementsforsamplepreparation,tensiletesting,andresultscalculationofflatfiberreinforcedpolymer(FRP)compositematerialsusedforthestrengtheningofstructuresmadeofmaterialssuchasmetals,timber,masonry,andreinforcedconcrete.Themethodmaybeusedtodeterminethetensilepropertiesofwetlay-upandpre-impregnatedFRPcompositesfabricatedonsiteormanufacturedinafactorysetting.TheFRPcompositemaybeofeitherunidirectional(0-degrees)orcross-ply(0/90type)reinforcement.Forcross-plylaminates,theconstructionmaybeachievedusingmultiple-layersofunidirectionalfibersateither0or90degrees,oroneormorelayersofstitchedorwoven0/90fabrics.Thecompositematerialformsarelimitedtocontinuousfiberordiscontinuousfiber-reinforcedcompositesinwhichthelaminateisbalancedandsymmetricwithrespecttothetestdirection.ThemethodonlycoversthedeterminationofthetensilepropertiesoftheFRPcompositematerial.OthercomponentsusedtoattachtheFRPmaterialtothesubstrate,suchastheprimer,putty,andadhesiveinexternallybondedstrengtheningsystems,areexcludedfromthesamplepreparationandtestingdetailedinthisdocument.ThistestmethodreferstoTestMethodD3039/D3039Mforconductofthetests.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
